People who have been witness to ghostly goings on at a Holbeach St Johns pub are being given the chance to star in a documentary.
Deeping St Nicholas media company Big Screen Productions is holding a meeting at The Plough, in Jekil's Bank, at 8.30pm tomorrow as it looks to gather information on resident pub ghost the "Grey Lady".
Anyone who has seen, heard of or read about the Grey Lady are being asked to go along to the meeting and those who do could end up as interviewees in a DVD production about haunted Lincolnshire pubs.
The company also plans to film a re-enactment of occasions when the ghost was seen for the documentary, which will be sent on to Channel 4 and the Discovery Channel when it is completed.
Ian Irvine has only owned the pub since November but admits that he has experienced spooky occurences since he moved in.
He said: "We found paper towels strewn all over one of the toilet floors one morning, even though the entire place was checked the night before.
"On another morning I found all the windows on the pub were unlocked, even though we thoroughly check that every door and window is secured at night.
"I was surprised when the film company called but I had heard stories from some of our customers about the ghost so now we want information from locals to come along on Wednesday and tell us more."
Bar manager John Morris was also left bemused when it was discovered that all the windows in the pub had been unlocked overnight, despite him making sure they were securely fastened the night before.
Steve Timewell, director of Big Screen Productions, said: "Lincolnshire is reputed to have one of the highest counts of haunted pubs in England and we'll be travelling all over the county to find them. We hope people come along to tell us of their experiences because the more stories we get the more interesting it will be."
